Kiss Me and Smile For Me

How ’bout this, Slarti?

I love to hear songwriters do their own songs. Even if they can’t sing there’s something so beautiful about it. John Denver could obviously sing though. Great song. Great performance.  From the year I was born.  Yes, it was a very good year.

  1. That it awesome.

I love how Mary slips from melody to harmony so easily.

  2. And she sings with so much passion, it’s scary.

  3. That is way cool.

  4. I’m thinking John Henry and Miss Mary were somewhat sparkly together. Look at how they’re playing off each other.

  5. Found you via Busy Mom. I was singing this to my son today in an elevator, so it’s very weird to find her post (and yours) about this particular song!

  6. Awwwwwwwww.

Makes me *sniffle*, it’s so pretty. And Sista, I think you’re right, although he was married to MIss Annie at the time. Maybe they were just sweet on each other in a sibling way. I hope so.

And BTW, Sista, I had no idea that you’re the same age as my IRL sista! She’s just a babeh! Which means you are too, of course!
