Year of the Grascal (Again)
Yeah,baby. Once again, I get to sleep with the IBMA Entertainer of the Year…or one of them anyway.
And how grand is it that two incredible singing Bradleys won the Female and Male Vocalist award? Bradley Walker (who was the first guy to christen Knuck’s ramp at the Mothership) and Dale Ann Bradley. I fantasize that I sing as good as Dale Ann. How wonderful for them.
Perhaps the number one thing I hate I didn’t get to witness was my Terry, Terry Eldredge and Jimmy Mattingly’s 
former boss, Sonny Osborne, 
present the award to them. As teary as I get these days, it’s prolly a good thing. I mighta 
embarrassed them all. (How bout that, Raymond E?)

It was a great show. Hope you got an A, and very sorry you had to miss. We had a blast, and we’re already up.
Are you coming downtown anytime this weekend?
Dale Ann was my choice, and I just believe that was the most deserved award of the evening.

I so agree with you, Pam. What a great singer and even nicer person. Very happy for her. I doubt I’ll make it down there. Terry’s got something down there today and they’re out of town tomorrow, so I don’t think I’ll be getting there.

Congratulations to Terry and the rest of the Grascals. I went to only a couple of festivals this year, but enough to see all the nominees multiple times; your boy earned it, in my opinion.
And Bradley Walker! What a singer. Dang. I was lined up to see him at the Paramount in Ashland, KY (and was going to drive the 13 hours to do so) but unfortunately, he had to cancel so I haven’t seen him live yet.

One question, though…exactly how do you word that on your resume? LOL
Now if the IBMA could acknowledge all of the guys in the individual instrument category. That makes me furious every year that they are continuously overlooked, yet, people constantly say how Mr. S is one of the best upright bass players ever….Me no get.
Lady…..I would have squalled…gladly.
I was invited to the awards show…shoulda went.
