Yay. It’s Friday and this h’year is my contribution to Feel Good Friday. And it’s a good ern, ladies and gentlemen.
Direct from the Johnny Mack Brown High School Auditorium in Rainbow Valley, VA, I give you Lester “Roadhog” Moran and the Cadillac Cowboys. Heh.
This one here is pretty funny featuring “Ray” Clark and “Tommy” Wynette. (You know…the girl singer that was married to Buck Jones)

My dad had this album.
Comment from Mike H.
Those of us who have been in the business for a NUMBER of years can really appreciate your wealth of knowledge of country and its roots. Especially we remember your source for a lot of it. Todays blurb on the Cadillac Cowboys was especially entertaining. Your daddy and I used to laugh ourselves silly by just thinking about “Lester” and the boys.
Your dad tricked me into interviewing them back stage at the Opry House on one occasion when I worked for him. He gave me two pages of notes on what they had supposedly done in the field of entertainment. When I finished about a five minute introduction to them, “lester” simply said, so all our listeners could hear it. ‘Aint none of that true” and got up and left the room, followed by the rest of the group. There I sat with my notes and my face fully exposed and said nothing til they turned the machines off. I thought your Dad would croak but he simply said, “We got you”.
Thanks for bringing back so many memories of yesteryears.
