Elections and Revelations

If I lived as long as Barack Obama’s Grandma lived and then died the day before my grandson was elected President, I’d have to have a little talk with Jesus about that.

Speaking of the Election, Yo Sista is one of those 5% of voters who is not decided as for who I’m going to vote for tomorrow.  I said I didn’t know if I was even going to because of said quandry, but, Cherry said “You HAVE to vote!”

Is it responsible to go into the booth and close my eyes and point at a button?  I don’t think so.  What does one do when this happens?  Write myself in?

For real…what do ya do when this happens?  I’ve never had this happen before and I have voted in every Presidential election I’ve been eligible to vote in.

I’m getting lots of questions about my “Revelation.”  I don’t know if I can blog that or not.  My preacher reads this blog.  HAR.

  1. Barack’s grandma didn’t die today, did she!?!?!?!

Personally, I encourage people who don’t know anything about the candidates not to vote. I’d rather have them not vote than vote for stupid stuff like “best name” (I have a friend who does that).

I also wouldn’t have a problem with you sitting this dance out if you sincerely and completely are that undecided.

Of course, selfishly, I’d then go ahead and encourage you to close your eyes and point Barack’s direction…

    but that’s just me ;-)

  2. If I thought everything was gonna be magically “fixed” with his election, then I wouldn’t be so undecided. I’m so very in the middle, it’s not even funny.

  3. I think you will know when you get there…and you’ll be at peace with your decision.

  4. The best thing to do is pray. That’s what I did. I was going one direction, but after I prayed, I felt like God revealed some things to me. It was strange, because I usually don’t think about such things in a spiritual context, but I did this time.

  5. What I’m going to do is throw my vote away on a third party candidate whenever I don’t know who to pick. “The Natural Law Party? Sounds like the place to be, I love parties!”
