Check out Payton’s new teefuses. He is proud of them.

Loved, loved, loved the Living Christmas Tree put on by the fine folks at Sevier Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville.

Was especially fond of the little blondeheaded girl grasping onto the Lord Jesus there….that’s my niece.
Was also fond of the
shepherd there….and his staff….that would be the Engineering Brudda In Larrr…
The kid in the green vest and red shirt there. (Heh) Third from left….the Nephew With The New Teefuses…
The Sister was also in the production….she’s the one in white. (Not one of the levitating ones though)

I couldn’t find her in the midst of all the white but she’s there somewhere.

The Gay Street Bridge there behind the Arena was quite lovely.

As was this old-timey Arby’s sign. (I have a thing for neon)
Oh and here’s my Christmas tree….I wish it were wider and all that but it’s gonna have to do.

Notice there is not nary a single gift under the tree. This is because I have yet to buy the first Christmas gift. I think I may give the gift of “Joy” this Christmas. Yeah…that’s it. That’ll go over HUGE with the kids.
(Note to my children….please answer my texts when I ask what you want for Christmas….love ya, Mom)

That is one honkin living Christmas tree! Holy moly, that sucker’s huge.
Is that the Arby’s on Kingston close to Papermill? I’m sure there’s more than one old timey Arby’s sign in Knoxville, but I’ll pretend it’s that one since I know it.
I really really really like your tree topper. It looks kind of Dr. Seussy.

I think it was on Cedar Bluff? I noticed several like that around there.
Tree topper came from Cracker Barrel and it was 40% off!

Jag hit it right, that’s the one on Kingston and Papermill. I love that sign.
How on earth do all those people climb up into that Christmas tree?! What if you have to go to the bathroom?

There’s an old Arby’s sign on Cedar Bluff too. That’s close to our house, so that’s the one Sharon saw.
There is a scaffold type ladder that folks climb up on. You also have to stand on boxes of different sizes depending on your height so everyone on the row will be the same height.
And. If you gotta go, you hold it.

That Arby’s is where Tim and I would go on dates in college when we wanted to “splurge.” LOVE the sign.

There’s an old Arby’s sign in Birmingham when you’re coming in from the west from Tupelo. It always kind of freaks me out, even though I KNOW it’s there, but it’s so cool to see as well.
