My pal Chez Bez and I have sorta been talking about our love of Rosemary Clooney today.  Two former Franklin Rebels that love old pop standards is what we are.

One of my favorite songs on my Ipod is Rosemary doing “Here’s That Rainy Day.”  Dang, that’s a great song.  It was Johnny Carson’s favorite song and one of the tunes Bette Midler serenaded him with his last night on the air in 1992.

Funny how love becomes a cold, rainy day, funny, that rainy day is here.

I’m trying to figure out what is so dang funny about love becoming a cold, rainy day.  Try as I might, I don’t find the humor in it.

I still love that song, though.
