How many times will we hear “I can’t believe how cold it is!” today? I heard it a few times in the Wal Mart last night. Hello? It does this just about every spring. We get a bunch of warm days and long about Easter there’s a cold snap. Why is everybody so surprised? Even Jeff Ray himself said the average last frost is about April 8. We’re right on shedyool.
Put your jackets on and hush, people. It’s not like we’re going to be in perpetual blizzard mode til August. Warmth will return. It’ll be OK.

Wait til the new kids doing the weather (I’m looking at YOU, Channel 4) start doing the “Will it EVER warm up AGAIN?” teasers? Because you KNOW there’s a CHANCE that it might not EVER!!

It’s always cold for Easter here! I know this because we always have on long sleeves, jackets, sweaters, the works in pictures. Before you know it it will be 95 degrees and people will be complaining about that! 😉

I got all crazy and planted some stuff this past weekend. Shouldn’t have, I guess, but I did. And now I’m crossing my fingers and rooting (ha!) for my little plantlings. Go, plantlings, go!

I remember one year, about 1995, that we had a little snow the week before Easter. I remember seeing somebody’s bunny decoration and the little pink ears peeking out of the snow.
